They could cut the defence budget way back, scrap masses of equipment and call back all foreign deployments, end foreign wars, scale down the military from a touch over 1 million troops to a 250k defence force [with nukes]?

I say have a income cut off point, so 20k, if you make less then that per family, then you should get stuff free. health, education etc.

if 21k to say 40, pay something.

40k plus, you had better pay for it all.
